Stunning near mint, pre-CBS Custom Colour Jazz bases are not that easy to come by, especially Olympic White ones where the clear coat has not turned yellow. This is one of them and what a glowing example it is too…
All correct and complete with its near mint original 1964 no logo case, this superb bass is one of the nicest ones we have had. The finish is noteworthy as it retains a lot of the original milky whiteness so often corrupted by environmental elements. Matching olympic white headstock is also excellent and like the rest of the guitar has not faded very much at all. It is in pretty much near mint condition with a small area of buckle rash on the back and a few small dings around the edges mainly
Correct hardware and electrics with undisturbed solder joints. Neck date of November 1964, serial number is late 64 and pots date to 1964 week 40.
Both pickups work really nicely together and are evenly balanced with all the cool varieties of tone that you expect to get from a great, vintage Jazz bass. It has a nice action, plays real well with zero wear on the original frets and zero wear on the lovely rosewood fingerboard. We fail to see how anyone would be disappointed with this bass.
A lush pre-CBS vintage Jazz bass in a Custom Colour with matching headstock, a most superb example too. What more could you ask for…
