1965 Fender Mustang in blue with original hard shell case in good all round condition. An awesome short scale instrument from Fender from 1965 which was the first full year the Mustang model was produced. This instrument is in great shape with just the right amount of wear you would like to see in an instrument from this time period. 

The finish has mellowed over the years and become a very subtle and sweet shade of blue. The natural finish to the neck has worn incredibly smooth over time and is a joy to play. These guitars were often made with 2 choices of neck an A or B, this example features the more common A width which is much slimmer than the B counterparts, being a student model this is very common. The feel is very slinky because of this but due to the small body and short scale of the guitar it does all feel very nice together though very dinky when played after holding a Strat for a while! 

The guitar remains all original with the exception of a new nut, a replica of the original in shape, size and material, as well as some touch ups in the wiring. No new parts have been added and everything works perfectly as should. 

The guitar comes with its original silver and orange lined case which is very smart and also in great condition complete with neck latch. The guitar plays fantastically with a nice low action and though the frets are low there is still lots of life left in them, a joy to play and strum, lots of vintage charm and character and some really nice mellow and bright tones to be had. The original tremolo and bar is also present and works fantastically for a light warble effect, the original machine heads are in great condition and work perfectly.

This is an epic little guitar from a golden era of Fender and this is a guitar far more attainable price wise than the equivalent Stratocaster of the era with the same amount of awesome vintage feel, playability and character.
