Product Details
This is a 1973 Fender Precision Bass Rosewood fingerboard Maple neck, expertly refinished by Paul Neild from Retro 169 in aged Olympic white Nitro, It looks, feels and sounds amazing!
This bass weighs 8.34 lbs, the top nut is 49mm, the original frets are well dressed and polished, with plenty of life and they are polished and crowned. The Rosewood fingerboard has Perl dot inlays.
The original pickup reads a mighty 10.63 ohms, which is very nice to know. It's a U-shaped neck profile that fits like a glove and has a shoulder that eases as you venture up the neck.
Very easy to play, and so very cool. You get that signature P Bass tonality from its original pickups with those back of the room lows and cutting mids. All this, while still delivering that warm clarity that makes these old P- basses so sought after,
This bass came to us stripped back to natural, as so many were back then. We have given it a full Motomusic makeover. The non-original pots and loom that it came to us with have been replaced with quality CTS pots and we have also retained the original capacitor.
So you have a player grade early 70’s Precision serial number 410438, With a Paul Neild refinish in Nitro (Light Relic) that is just going to look better and better as the years roll on. Original body, neck machine heads and pickups and with a perfect setup. Ready to gig and record,
