1995 Ibanez SR 1000 SOL Japanese bass with 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck, mahogany body, abalone oval inlays and premium gold hardware. The stock Ibanez pickups and pre-amp have been upgraded to what appears to be a Fender Custom Shop passive PJ set. The abalone oval inlays are reserved for the very high end Japanese built professional bass guitars. The necks on the 4-string models from this era are famous for being the fastest and most comfortable necks in the world. The pickup upgrade resulted in the left two knobs being made redundant, and so they were removed to avoid confusion with a stunning veneer over their mounting area. This is an absolutely awesome bass from Ibanez's top of the range built in their best factory. If you want an epic bass that sets you apart sonically in the studio and visually on stage, this is the one!
