This is a wonderful example of a 1958 Fender Stratocaster with Trem, that is in remarkable condition given that it's 67 years old. It also displays a vibrant three-tone sunburst finish. It is a wonderful guitar to behold.
The Maple neck is in great shape with just some light wear on the fingerboard around the second fret. The back of the neck is also very good, nice and smooth with just the lightest of age-related marks and no chips in the finish or dents.
Original, unmolested electronics, Original Black Bottom single coils. The volume and one tone pot date 1958, the second tone pot can't be read clearly due to the wiring and solder obscuring it, but all joints appear unbroken. The bridge pickup, although functioning, is weak and ideally would benefit from a re-wind.
The body date in the middle pickup cavity reads July '58, and the neck reads August '58. The serial number on the neck plate is 28744.
Original 3-way blade selector switch. Correct Patent numbers on the single-line Kluson Deluxe machine heads and bridge saddles. The saddles are also in good order and work fine. It weighs 7.68lb, and the top nut measures 42mm.
The plastics and pickguard are well preserved and appear original. The frets show some wear, but with plenty of life in them, and it is a player's dream.
The sound is everything that you would expect and will not disappoint.
The icing on the cake is the original case, with the Fender logo present and intact and with all latches working, and it's in remarkable condition.
