Product Details
This stunning Gibson L4 Archtop, was made in America in the Kalamazoo factory, in 1953.
It was bought in Liverpool in the UK in the 50's by a Guitarist who played in the House band of the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool in the 50's and 60's.
We are now selling it for Tom English the drummer from English band Maximo Park.So this guitar has had an excellent Rock and Roll past!
It has been restored by our own Luthier Andrew at Curvy Sounds, as it needed a little work on the bottom binding , but it has been well looked after over the years and it is in very condition, and with a full Curvy Sounds fret dress and set up it is playing like a dream. It has a mark on the back as shown on the photos and a small mark on the front and on the bottom and a small crack in the bottom binding, near the strap button, but it is all structually sound and nothing impinges on it overall beauty! Also the flecks of light colour on the front of the guitar and scatch plate in these pictures are just refelctions of the Christmas lights in the shop!
Specifications:Top:Solid Spruce
:Back and Sides: Maple
:Neck:Mahogany
:Fretboard:Rosewood
:Number of Frets:20
It is for the Uk market only as the Rosewood could be Brazillian so we cannot post it overseas.
Comes with original case!
