Vintage 1977 Marshall 100w Lead 2203 White Amplifier Full Stack

Vintage 1977 Marshall 100w Lead 2203 White Amplifier Full Stack

I am so excited to offer this stunning setup for sale as a complete set! I bought these off of the original owner since the 1980s. It's an original custom colour Marshall Master Model 100w head (think Randy Rhoads!), complete with a pair of period correct 4x12 cabinets that have been recovered by Marshall themselves in the 1980s to match, and a new set of covers purchased for the cabinets.

The Head

The head itself dates to 1977, and has the original black Marshall logo indicating the custom colour. Randy bought his in 1980, and this one is even earlier, dating to 1977. Internally its original, including the T4074 mains transformer, the DEC2668F output transformer, and the choke. The T4074 was rewound sometime in the 1990s, but the original iron remains. I have had a quad of new JJ EL34 fitted as the others were worn. I can include them if you'd like them, just let me know! Alongside the 3x original ECC83 valves.

The head is currently wired up for 240v and 8ohms as that is what the previous owner wanted them wired to. The ohms selector is easily added back in, but I would recommend using a step transformer if your country is not 240v. The circuitboard is relatively untouched. Cosmetically in wonderful condition, with only a few light scuffs and scrapes. The Marshall logo has been glued on in the past, and it holds really well. It's a stunning rare amplifier in custom colour white.

The Cabinets

The top cabinet dates to 1977 and has a matched quad of Celestion G12M T1221 with their original cones. The bottom cabinet is slightly later and dates to 1979 and comes with a matched quad of G12H T1281 again complete with their original cones. The top cabinet came with the amplifier originally when the previous owner purchased it, and it was originally white too, but it was scuffed all over so he sent it back to Marshall themselves to cover in their elephant levant white cloth. He also collected the bottom cabinet at the same time, and sent that back too. They have been a matched set of white since the 1980s.

I would personally like to sell as a full setup as pictured as they have been this way for many a decade, but obviously happy to split if necessary! Please get in touch if you're wanting to chat about a deal collectively or separately. Happy to help!
