In the pursuit of a lighter guitar, one non-negotiable requirement was maintaining exceptional sound quality. Countless prototypes were created, each refining the delicate balance between three key elements: outstanding tone, reduced weight, and the strength to endure the high tension of steel strings. This rigorous R&D process led to the development of A.I.R. (Alternative Internal Resonance) technology. Despite its solid body, this innovative construction method generates remarkable resonance, producing a full, open sound that vibrates through the entire guitar.

To complement the RGXA2's unique acoustic qualities, custom bridge and pickup systems were engineered, breaking the stereotype that "lightweight means weak sound." The result is a revolutionary guitar design, challenging traditional concepts. While the goal was to make the lightest guitar possible, early prototypes sacrificed sound and playability. Through careful refinement, the RGXA2’s final weight was set at approximately 2.5kg—about 30% lighter than a typical solid-body guitar—striking the perfect balance of weight, feel, and sound that players demand. It’s lightweight design taken to a whole new level.
