1980 Yamaha SG2000S in Sunburst, In Amazing condition!

The Japanese LP Killer! We've recently received this drop-dead gorgeous 1980 SG2000S in our store & boy! what a stunning axe she is! Aside from a few very small chips along the bottom edge and the beginnings of lacquer lifting in one or two areas as is very common with this model. This SG is much the same as it left the factory 40+ years ago! and has been beautifully well-kept in its original Yamaha hard case!

The original pickups have been replaced with two USA Seymour Duncan pickups, In the neck is a "SEY J" believed to be a Seymourizer & in the Bridge is a "DDJ" which we believe is a Distortion. Both pickups are wired to split via two push/push pots, one on each tone pot.

As is standard practice with all of our instruments (new or old) this SG has been through our workshop where it has been thoroughly checked and tested by our in-store professional technician to ensure this SG is in tip-top condition for its new owner!

This is a beautiful example of an 80s Yamaha SG and is the ideal option for anyone seeking the classic & thick rock tone we all know & love.
