Lewis Capaldi’s latest music ‘sounds fantastic’, remarks Yungblud. “He is addressing his mental health,” Yungblud commented regarding his companion, who proclaimed a hiatus from music in 2023. Capaldi announced a pause from music during the summer of 2023, canceling tour engagements to focus on his mental well-being.
After visibly struggling with his Tourette’s during his Glastonbury performance that summer, Capaldi communicated to his supporters: “The fact that this probably won’t come as a shock doesn’t simplify the writing, but I sincerely apologize for informing you that I will be stepping away from touring for the indefinite future. ” Yungblud mentioned that Capaldi “is addressing his mental health,” adding: “I cherish him, as we have traversed this journey together. We encountered it simultaneously, and he is perhaps the sole friend who comprehends what I am experiencing, just as I understand what he’s enduring. ”
In conversation with The Sun, Yungblud provided the initial indication that Capaldi is crafting new compositions. “I have listened to his new music, and it sounds fantastic. ” Yungblud himself made a return this week with the new single ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’, which he stated Capaldi assisted him in writing.
“When I was creating this album, I was very close to Lewis, and Lewis was like, ‘Just go ahead and sing, man’,” he expressed. “And we feature a prominent British actress in the video. It’s going to be iconic. ”
Referring to his new album in the press release for the single, Yungblud described it as “enchanting” and stated: “Let’s see. Get on the horse. Let’s ride. ”
